What is Part P and what what it have to do with an Electrician in London?
The bodies responsible for the administrating of the building regulations are the communities and the local governments which is the reasoning behind the competent person scheme in our case qualified Part P Electricians in London, they have provided general leaflets for guidance as to when work needs to be notified to local authorities, this leaflet is called CLG Guide to Building Work.
Part P of the building regulations was introduced in January 2005 and was made a requirement for all electrical contractors and independent electricians to meet Part P as a minimum standard. It mainly identifies what an electrician needs to do when carrying out an electrical installation in a dwelling, home or Garden and that building control was notified of what the works were. The notification was introduced under Part P because it was particularly important when moving house because the compliance certificate would be required by solicitors to prove that that any electrical work carried out at the property would be safe for piece of mind to the seller, vendor or lender in regards to the property. One of the main reasons for ensuring Part P if followed by an electrician that you employ to carry out your works is that a certificate is issued and building control are notified otherwise it could have detrimental effect on the future sale of the property in question.
Our Electricians in London and Essex also demonstrate further competence by studying further qualifications in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations or in the Electrical Inspection and testing of Electrical Installations.
