Periodic Inspection Reports (PIR)!
Periodic Inspection Reports (PIR).
Periodic Inspection Reports (PIR) have become very important. They can also be referred to as a electrical installation condition report (EICR Certificate). More Local authorities are requesting landlord electrical testing; this is to ensure your property is safe for the tenant. Estate agents and councils request various certificates; we have listed a few below:
- Landlord EICR Inspections.
- Fire Alarm Certificates.
- Emergency Light Reports.
- Portable appliance Testing.
Depending on the type of property; all these certificates could be required. If you were to rent rooms in your property; you would require all the landlord Periodic Inspection Reports. This is because it would be a house of multiple occupancy (HMO). PAT Testing is becoming Law in the UK; if you are renting your property; regardless of type. This is to ensure all your electrical appliances are safe to use.
